Muskets & Magic Guns, blades, and gloves
Class select hands you the kit. Crowns change the skin. The reload still belongs to you.
Equipment in Muskets & Magic is not a loot treadmill. Nanoplex Studio ties each gun, blade, and focus to a class on the spawn screen of this Roblox team PvP shooter. You pick Line Infantry and you get a musket. You pick Mage and you get a glove or staff. Crowns buy cosmetic variants; they do not let a Healer sneak a Fire Glove into the bandage slot. Early access on PC, mobile, and console uses the same kit list, even when the touch button for reload sits in a different corner.
This page groups the toys: ranged, melee, foci. For who should hold them, use the class hub. For bayonet timing and blocks, use the melee combat guide. For mana and Ctrl dash, use how to play Mage.
Ranged weapons
Musket is the backbone. Line Infantry and Grenadier live here. You volley, you eat smoke, you wait out the ramrod. Cosmetic variants include the Rusty Musket, also labelled Stolen Musket in places, which is the visual tell that Descendants of Death did not forge the thing in Embrodire. Functionally you still have a flintlock with a long reload and a bayonet that turns the gun into a short spear. Do not hip-fire a musket like a pistol and then blame the class.
Rifle belongs to Rifleman. Shorter barrel in the flavour text, better at picking flanks than at matching a ten-man volley. You carry a shortsword because the rifle is a terrible oar in a hallway. If you are standing in the same hedge as five Line Infantry, you picked the wrong bush.
Pistol belongs to Officer. Fastest reload among the firearms, shortest effective range. The Officer kit is a range aura plus a pocket gun, not a sniper that happens to have a sabre. Save the shot for the man who walks around the palisade, then go back to shouting in white chat.
Bows are Sitari’s answer to the rifle, sitting on Light Infantry rather than on a “bow” item row of their own in every menu. Treat arrows as a ranged class feature, not as a musket with extra steps. They are quiet, they are not flintlock, and they still lose to a prepared line if the archer stands in the open.
Stolen firearms on Descendants of Death are the same musket family wearing a crime. A Cultist with a Stolen Musket still reloads like a person. A Brute with a giant mace does not. Do not assume every undead kit shoots.
Spellcasting foci
Four factions, four foci, no guns on Mage.
Fire Glove is Ignia. Line support. Fireballs and torrents from behind the muskets. The bicorne in the flavour art catches fire on campaign, which is funny until you dash into your own lingering flame. Mana replaces stamina. Ctrl dash is your melee panic button because you did not bring a sabre.
Earth Glove is Zemliya. Rocks on a long arc. Playtesters call it a sniper even though the class is still Mage. You reshape terrain in the lore; in a round you mostly punish people who stand still on Little Green. Same mana bar, same dash, still no musket.
Staff of Light is Sitari. Dual purpose: blinding beams and kneeling divination heals. Sitari already lacks flintlocks, so a Light Mage who only beams is wasting the Doctor overlap, and a Light Mage who only heals is wasting the only long-range tool the Theocracy brought besides the bow.
Skeletal Staff is Descendants of Death. Necromancer. Unique among the four because it is not a coloured blast that mirrors the musket line. You manipulate undead flesh, you pressure in forests, and you make Remnants feel like a different game. If you took this staff expecting Fire Glove muscle memory, go back to the mage guide.
Mage caps exist because these four items swing rounds harder than a second Rifleman. When the cap is full, fill Line Infantry. The glove will still be there next ticket cycle.
Melee weapons
Bayonets live on the musket. Affix, then treat the gun as a spear with a terrible reload behind it. Grenadiers want this more than Line Infantry, but both should know the range. The melee combat page is the drill; this page is the catalogue.
Sabre is the officer-and-support blade. Officer, Healer, Ensign. Fast enough to punish a Mage who dashed into your hip, not a greatsword. If you are a Healer, the sabre is for the person who ignored the bandage glow, not for a glory duel on the lawn.
Shortsword is Rifleman’s close tool, with cosmetic names like Medieval Shortsword, Small Sword, Rusty Shortsword, and Rusty Sword. You brought a rifle. The shortsword is the apology for walking into a kitchen.
Longsword and sword plus shield are Sitari language. Linemen charge with short swords and shields raised. Knights look like the shining armour of that charge. You are not fencing an Officer; you are walking through smoke that was supposed to stop you.
Greatsword is Heavy Infantry. Biggest Sitarian cut. Sklirite helps against projectiles and blades until enough musket balls arrive. If you greatsword on Little Green’s open lane, you are content for Ignia.
Axe, pickaxe, and Rusty Pickaxe sit on Sapper and Engineer kits with hammer and shovel. The axe deletes other people’s buildings. The hammer and shovel create yours. Taller hitbox is the tax. Wickland Manor is the exam.
Giant mace is the Brute conversation. Descendants of Death did not give that class a polite sabre. If a mace is on screen, stop reloading in the open.
Spontoon, spear, and poleaxe are the polearm row. Spontoon shows up in sergeant-flavoured notes on musket nations; Sitari uses spears and pikes as native tools. Reach beats a sabre if you are not already inside the swing. Polearms lose if you let a pistol Officer hug you.
What class select actually means
You cannot mix a rifle onto Grenadier. You cannot give Ensign a Fire Glove. The spawn screen is the loadout screen. Rank and cosmetic variants change the mesh, not the rules.
A practical checklist:
- Need shots at 50-plus metres? Musket line or rifle flank, or Earth Glove rocks.
- Need a door broken? Grenadier bayonet, Sapper axe, Sitari Heavy Infantry, or a Brute.
- Need the team to stop dying? Healer bandage, Light Mage kneel, Ensign flag.
- Need the team to hear you on mobile? Officer or Ensign white chat, not a silent Rifleman pinging the void.
Crowns spent on a Stolen Musket skin do not shorten the reload. Spend them after you can win a volley with the default wood.
Platform notes that change the gun
PC players can make the musket feel like a rhythm game: hold, click, ram, click. Mobile players need cover more because the reload UI fights the camera. Console players sit in the middle and still lose to anyone who sprints while they fiddle a build menu. The kit is identical. The input is not. That is why Sapper feels godlike on keyboard and clumsy on a thumb until you practice the two-input build on a private drill, not on Wickland point two.
Mage dash on Ctrl is a PC sentence. Find the remapped dash on your device before you take a capped slot. A Mage who cannot dash is a piñata with a pretty glove.
Catalogue, then practice
Memorise which class owns which item, then stop collecting trivia. Go back to the class hub and pick one job for a full server, not three jobs for three minutes each. Take the melee combat guide into a bayonet-only round on purpose. Take how to play Mage into a Fire or Earth slot only after you can name your school without looking at the glove. Early access will add meshes. It will not add a fifth firearm that makes Line Infantry optional. The musket, the sabre, and the four foci are the whole argument of the game, and the argument is still being playtested in public.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Muskets & Magic players.
Can I mix weapons between classes?
No. Class select hands you a fixed kit. Crowns and cosmetic variants change how the item looks, not which class can hold it.
What is the Stolen Musket?
A rusty cosmetic variant of the musket, also labelled Stolen Musket. Descendants of Death flavour leans on captured flintlocks. It still reloads like a musket.
Which mage focus belongs to which faction?
Fire Glove for Ignia, Earth Glove for Zemliya, Staff of Light for Sitari, Skeletal Staff for Descendants of Death. Mages do not carry guns.
Does the pistol outrange the musket?
No. The pistol reloads faster and dies at distance. Officers use it as a pocket gun while the range aura does the real work.
Where should I learn melee timing?
The melee combat guide covers blocks, bayonets, and when to stop reloading. This page only lists which blade sits on which class.
