Early Access Notes

The Roblox title is [EARLY ACCESS] MUSKETS & MAGIC. That label is the patch note. Nanoplex Studio is running a live team deathmatch shooter while maps, classes, netcode, and copy still change. This page tells you what to expect in a public server so you do not treat a September 2026 snapshot as a finished Napoleonic simulator.

If you need a first-hour route, leave this page for getting started. If you need the road that led here, use playtest history. This note is about the current early-access rules of thumb.

What early access means in this game

Bugs are expected. Hitboxes, flag respawns, sapper pieces, mage dashes, and mobile buttons can all misbehave. Report a game-breaking bug if you actually found one — there is even an achievement flavour for that — but do not assume every death is a cheat or a broken musket. Reload in cover.

Servers cap at 40 players. Ticket Deathmatch, Deathmatch, and Attack Defense all feel different at 12 people versus 40. A quiet server is not the “real” game. A full Wickland attack can be chaos. Queue again if you landed in a ghost town and wanted a line battle.

PC, mobile, and console are all in. Official copy lists all three. Keybinds remap. Touch controls live in settings. A Sitari lineman on a phone will not flick like a PC rifleman. Play your platform; do not demand console players to track like a mouse.

Boosts are live value, not a finished economy. Grand opening 60% EXP and Crowns, group +25%, weekend +40%, Wednesday +30% UTC, Premium +15%, plus shop boosters. Those can be retuned. The Codes Hub is still empty — do not wait on a promo string to play.

Live iteration. A class that felt unkillable in a 2025 24-hour test can be ordinary now. Mage slot counts, necromancer rules, and sapper health are the kind of knobs a studio turns without a cinematic trailer.

Modes you will actually queue

  • Ticket Deathmatch — 100 tickets a side, one ticket per respawn, last tickets and last lives decide it.
  • Deathmatch — no tickets, one life each, brutal on Final Stand-style maps.
  • Attack Defense — attackers take points, defenders stall the clock, respawns on. Wickland Manor is the current example.

Lore battles keep the historically paired factions (Ignia vs Zemliya on Prok’s Glade, DoD vs Ignia on Final Stand, Sitari vs Ignia on Wickland). Non-lore battles scramble pairings after a lore round. If you queued to fight earth mages and got Sitari shields instead, that is the rotation, not a bug.

Platforms and controls

Play the public place, not a private server, if you want ranks and cosmetics to save. Private servers are for staff-style testing; progress does not save. Quote-key commands are not a public feature.

On mobile, bind fire and melee where your thumb already rests. On console, confirm the Codes button later if it ever appears — this page is not that UI. On PC, remember mage dash is ctrl in current copy; that can move.

How to spend early access time

  1. Join the Nanoplex Studio group for the +25% before you care about Crowns shops.
  2. Lock Line Infantry for two rounds even if you came for necromancer clips.
  3. Learn one map from the maps guide instead of voting random every time.
  4. Treat Crowns as scarce until you know which cosmetic you actually want.
  5. Re-read this note after a patch that changes tickets or building.

Visits sat around 294k with about 9.4k favorites in the September 2026 snapshot. That is a mid-size early-access crowd, not a dead test place and not a million-visit simulator. You will still find empty servers at odd hours. Boost windows are when you should hunt a full 40.

What we will not claim

This wiki will not call the project a finished 1.0 or treat playtesting as closed. A January 2026 video used “final playtest” in a title. The Roblox page still says early access months later. Believe the page title.

Balance arguments on Discord are louder than patch notes. If a healer feels immortal or a brute feels like a wall, check whether you are in a 10-player server before you demand a nerf.

Expect bugs, report the real ones, and treat every number on this wiki as a snapshot. The Roblox page title is still early access for a reason.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Muskets & Magic players.

Does early access mean the game is unfinished?

It means Nanoplex is still iterating on a live Roblox build. Bugs, boost copy, and class feel can change after patches.

What is the player cap?

40 players per server. Full servers play very differently from a 10-person queue.

Can I play on mobile or console?

Yes. Official copy lists PC, mobile, and console. Remap controls in the main menu settings.

Should I wait for a full launch to play?

If you want a frozen 1.0, wait. If you want muskets and magic now, play the early-access place and expect changes.

Do private servers save my rank?

No. Progress and customisation do not save on private servers. Use public early-access servers for anything you want to keep.
