Muskets & Magic Updates and history
Early access, lore releases, and the playtest road that led here.
This Updates Hub is the change log for a game that is still labeled [EARLY ACCESS] MUSKETS & MAGIC. Nanoplex Studio is iterating on a Napoleonic-inspired team shooter with faction magic. Numbers, maps, and class feel can move after a patch. Use these pages as dated notes, not as a frozen manual.
Start with the early access explainer if you just spawned. Use lore if you care why Ignia fires muskets at Sitari steel. Use playtest history if you watched a 2025 24-hour test and want the timeline without fake “full launch” language.
What to read after a patch
- Early access note — 40-player servers, PC / mobile / console, expected bugs, boost windows, and why tickets feel different than last month.
- Lore — narrative and diegetic drops from 2024 through 2026, including A Twist of Fate, A Call to Arms, The Tide of Change, The Brute, The Will of the Necromancer, Belleville Pattern 1343, and Harrison Males’ Letter.
- Playtest history — announcement era, public tests through 2025 (including the July 17 2025 24-hour window), the January 2026 “final playtest” video, and the September 2026 early-access label on Roblox.
- Codes — still empty until Nanoplex publishes a real string. Check the Codes Hub anyway so you do not miss a first drop.
If a patch only tweaks recoil, you do not need the lore page. If a patch adds a map with a date like 6 April 1352, you do.
How we date things
In-world map dates (17 March 1352, 19 March 1352, 6 April 1352) are lore. Real-world dates (June 2024 lore posts, July 2025 playtests, January 2026 video, September 2026 snapshot) are production history. Do not mix them. Wickland Manor falling in 1352 is not a Roblox patch date.
This wiki will not treat the project as a finished 1.0. The Roblox title still says early access. When that label changes, this hub will change. Until then, expect bugs, slot limits, and booster copy that can vanish.
After a map-heavy patch, reread the lore index so in-world 1352 dates still match the vote screen. After a class-heavy patch, reread early access and then go play two rounds before you rewrite your own tier list. Hub pages go stale when people only argue in Discord.
What early access is iterating
From public tests into the current build, the through-line is team combat at up to 40 players across Ticket Deathmatch, Deathmatch, and Attack Defense. Maps in the current set include Final Stand of the Two Battalions, Battle of Little Green, Battle of Prok’s Glade, Battle of the Remnants, and Strike at Wickland Manor. Lore battles keep faction pairings; non-lore battles scramble them after a lore round.
Class work is the other half of the patch story. Eight classes per faction means a sapper change hits Ignia and Zemliya differently than a Sitari engineer change. Mage slots, flag respawns, and necromancer reanimation are the systems most likely to move because they swing a round harder than a Line Infantry bayonet tweak.
How to follow live news
This hub is a summary. Live shouts live on Discord and the Roblox group, listed on the links page. Snapshot stats for September 2026 sit around 294k visits and 9.4k favorites. Those figures are context for “is anyone on,” not a promise of a launch party.
If you are returning from a 2025 playtest, do not assume your muscle memory for tickets or building still matches. Read early access, then getting started, then play one Ticket Deathmatch before you judge the patch.
Bookmark this hub, then read the early-access note, the lore list, and the playtest timeline in that order after each patch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Muskets & Magic players.
Is Muskets & Magic still in early access?
Yes. The Roblox page is titled [EARLY ACCESS] MUSKETS & MAGIC as of the September 2026 snapshot.
Where are patch notes?
Start with the early access page, then Discord and the Nanoplex Studio group for the latest shout.
Why is there a playtest history if the game is in early access?
Public tests ran through 2025. They explain why veterans argue about tickets and buildings. They are not a finished 1.0 date.
Do lore releases change gameplay?
Sometimes they explain a class or map. *The Brute* and necromancer stories colour Descendants of Death. Maps already carry in-world dates.
Should I check codes after an update?
Yes. No codes are confirmed yet, but drops often appear with patches. The Codes Hub stays honest if the table is empty.
